A Day to Honor Our Volunteers
On 6 Dec 2025, what an incredible day we had at our Volunteer Appreciation Event, with 35 enthusiastic volunteers coming together to celebrate! With the festive season just around the corner, it was the perfect occasion for a joyful family gathering, filled with laughter, connection, and gratitude.
The day began with a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for what was to come. While many of us were busy with our tasks during the activities, this event provided a unique opportunity to step back and truly engage with one another. It was heartwarming to see our community spirit thriving as friends old and new reconnected.
We kicked off the festivities with an exciting icebreaker session, where volunteers took turns introducing themselves and sharing their stories. One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of certificates, honoring each volunteer’s invaluable contributions. The smiles on everyone’s faces as they received their certificates, paired with a small gift, truly captured the spirit of appreciation. To elevate the excitement, we hosted a lively lottery draw that had everyone on the edge of their seats, adding an extra layer of fun and anticipation to the celebration.
After enjoying delicious refreshments, we transitioned to an informative session led by Estella. She conducted a “Training the Trainer” workshop focused on waste management and the importance of environmental protection to our volunteers. Her engaging presentation emphasized that being a volunteer goes beyond individual contributions; it’s about promoting awareness and using our voices to inspire positive change within our communities.
