Auckland Transport (AT) Delivers Public Transport Safety and Sustainable Travel Workshop at CCET Centre

On November 23rd, 2025, Auckland Transport visited the CCET Centre for a workshop focused on public transportation safety and sustainability. This event drew almost 20 local residents who were highly engaged in the discussions.

The presentation team from AT’s Public Transportation Safety and Sustainability departments covered essential topics such as how to stay safe while using Auckland’s public transport system, planning journeys effectively, utilizing various HOP cards offered by AT, and reducing environmental impact through low-carbon travel options. The content was clear and easy to follow, especially for seniors, new immigrants, or those unfamiliar with public transportation.

The workshop included a Q&A session where community members shared their experiences and asked questions, demonstrating active participation. Through this workshop, the understanding and confidence of residents in using Auckland’s public transportation system significantly improved, leading them towards adopting more sustainable travel habits in their daily lives.

Among the attendees was Mr. Wang, a renowned blogger who has been voluntarily promoting New Zealand’s transportation policies for over 10 years through his blog posts, which have helped numerous Chinese-speaking travelers navigate the country with ease. His efforts have greatly benefited those who do not speak English fluently and rely on his practical guides to plan their trips.
CCET would like to express its gratitude for AT’s visit and valuable contribution. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with AT to promote environmental education, green mobility, and sustainable living within the community.
