The bar tail Godwit, champion of Long haul flight. They can fly seven and a half day non stop to Yalu Jiang. Then to Alaska to breed. At the end of August will fly eight and a half day non stop back to NZ. Let’s go to Miranda to see the migrant birds and hear their amazing stories. San Francisco is Old Gold Mine. Australia & NZ is New Gold Mine. Do we have gold ? where can we find the gold mine ? Let’s go and search for Gold !
On this trip, we will have world famous birder to talk about the migrant birds (Mandarin translation provided) We will see the amazing birds up close through telescopes. We will learn about the gold mining history of coromandel peninsula and walk the very beautiful and interesting gold mining walk.
***While we are watching the birds, silence must be observed.
There will be approximately 1 hour walk with moderate level of difficulty. Some physical fitness is required.
Recommended age for children is 7 or above.
Parents must be responsible for their children’s behavior and safety
