Kaipatiki Enviro Fun Day

Kaipatiki Enviro Fun Day

If you are interested to learn more about our environment, Saturday, 25 th March is the time. At Eskdale Reserve, Birkdale, from 10am to 2pm, you can learn how to start growing your own food at your backyard, you can learn about plants and wildlife with expert guides, you can learn about cycling, walking and public transportation of the area, how to create a pest free environment, etc.

Also there is a special programme about the wild lives. A scientist will take children of 12 to 18 years old, teach them about the plants and animals of the reserve. It is a free chance to see, learn & take photos (with the child’s own cell phone). These photos will be converted into a Documentary. Name of the photographer (the child) will be shown in the documentary. Time of this programme is from 1pm to 4pm. If you have a child of that age and wants to join in, please report to Irene or Chris in the “Gecko Tent” before 12:30pm inside the Eskdale Reserve on the day.

This activity is co-ordinated by Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre with support from Kaipatiki Local Board.

Please note that this is not Chinese conservation Education Trust’s activity. There will be no Chinese volunteers to provide any service.
